Day 01 / Arrival Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet assist at the airport and transfer to hotel. Night stay in Delhi.
Day 02 / Delhi
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi :
OLD DELHI -A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and Red Fort.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath , pass the imposing IndiaGate, Parliament House, the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave, Rail Museum. Night stay in Delhi.
Day 03 / Delhi - Agra ( By road ) 4 hrs. approx.
After breakfast drive To Agra. On arrival in Agra check-in to Hotel. Later visit the world famous Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world surely the most extravagant expression of love. Then visit the Agra fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience), a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcove of inlaid marble at the back, the Emperor heard public petitions. Night stay in Agra.
Day 04 / Agra - Lucknow ( By road ) via Sankasia Approx. 10 hrs. drive
After breakfast drive to Lucknow via Sankasia famous Buddhist site. On arrival at Lucknow check-in to Hotel. Night stay in Lucknow.
Day 05 / Lucknow - Sravasti ( By road ) Approx. 06 hrs. drive
After breakfast drive to Sravasti.On arrival at Sravasti transfer to hotel. Sravasti - the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Gardens. The city believed to be founded by the mythological king Sravast, has age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples. Buddha is said to have performed some miracles here. Later proceed to visit Saheth - Maheth & Jetvan. Night stay in Sravasti .
Day 06 / Sravasti - Lumbini ( By road ) Approx. 06 hrs. drive
After breakfast drive to Lumbini. On arrival at Lumbini transfer to hotel. Lumbini - the birthplace of the Buddha, was located in 1890 after being untraced for 1,500 years. Evening sightseeing tour of Lumbini including a visit to the birth Place of Lord Buddha. Night stay in Lumbini.
Day 07 / Lumbini - Kushinagar ( By road ) Approx. 05 hrs. drive
After breakfast drive to Kushinagar. On arrival at Kushinagar transfer to hotel. Kushinagar is where the Buddha finally attained Mahaparmirvana. Amongst the ruins are the Mukutbandhan Stupa and a beautiful statue of the reclining Buddha. visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple & Stupas. Night stay in Kushinagar.
Day 08 / Kushinagar - Vaisahali - Rajgir ( By road ) Approx. 10 hrs. drive Enroute visitng Vaishali & Nalanda
After breakfast drive to Rajgir. Enroute visitng Vaishali & Nalanda. Rajgir -The picturesque Rajgir, or Rajagriha as it was known in the past (literally, the abode of kings) is surrounded by the meandering river Banganga and 5 hills. During the lifetime of the Buddha this was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom, ruled by the virtuous King Bimbisara. The hills and caves surrounding Rajagriha were home to spiritual teachers, ranging from the materialism of the early Charavaka school to the metaphysics of Upanishadic philosophers. Like many others in search of truth, Prince Siddhartha, after he renounced his royal heritage came to this city to seek the path of vation. Nalanda -Nalanda was the most renowned university in ancient India. It derived its name from Na-alam-da, meaning Insatiable in Giving, one of the names by which the Lord Buddha was known. Arrive Rajgir and tranfer to hotel . Night stay in Rajgir.
Day 09 / Rajgir - Bodhgaya ( By road ) Approx. 03 hrs. drive
After Breakfast drive to Bodhagaya. On arrival at Bodhagaya transfer to hotel. Night stay in Bodhagaya
Day 10: Bodhgaya
After a leisurely breakfast Bodhgaya - As the place of the Buddha's Enlightenment, Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of Buhddhists. Bodhgaya situated near the river Niranjana, is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres since it was here that Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Later visit Mahabodhi Temple, Niranjana River, Sujata Village. Night stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 11 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi ( By road ) Approx. 05 hrs. & half drive
After breakfast drive to Varanasi. On the way visit Sarnath. On arrival at Varanasi transfer to hotel. Evening view “Aarti” ceremony on the Ghats. Night stay in Varanasi. Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 12 / Varanasi
Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later excursion to Sarnath, Varanasi, said to be the India’s most sacred city situated on the western bank of the holy river Ganga. It is also the oldest living city in the world. Varanasi is the city which cannot be described, only experienced. Further visit the other attractions , Banaras Hindu University. Bharat Mata Temple Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 13 / Varanasi – Delhi ( By flight )
After breakfast transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi. Arrive and transfer to International airport to connect flight for Onward Destination.
Day 14 : Saravasti / Lumbini (197 Kms)
Morning drive to Lumbini. Arrive and check - in at hotel. Lumbini – Birth place of Buddha. Evening visit ministries. Overnight stay.
Day 15 - Lumbini / Kathmandu (By flight)
Morning sightseeing of Lumbini and later transfer to airport to board flight for Kathmandu Arrive Kathmandu met with and and transfer to hotel. Kathmandu –Capital of Nepal surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow-capped peaks in its northern and eastern background the Valley. Overnight stay.
Day 16 : In Kathmandu
Morning after breakfast proceed for city tour of Kathmandu visiting Pashupatinath Temple - the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to lord Shiva, Patan - a city of architecture and fine arts. known as "Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs". Visit Tibetan Handicraft center. After Lunch Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath - the oldest Buddhist shrine. Boudhanath - the worlds largest stupa Continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square - the temple of the Living Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Kasthamandup - a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives its name. Overnight Stay.
Day 17 : Kathmandu / Departure
Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
